Job Description

The DAO team is international and multicultural, combining skills in business, design, product, governance, engineering, analytics, and AI to make SCOR the reinsurer of tomorrow. The Data Strategy & Governance team is at the forefront, interfacing with business units and other parts of the organization to execute and deliver on data initiatives. It is responsible for driving SCOR's data strategy in full alignment with business goals and ensuring ownership within the business.

The Lead Data Governance is a pivotal member of this team, owning the data governance framework and leading its operationalization. They will develop a strong understanding of data strategies across various business areas (e.g., Property and Casualty, Life & Health, Investments) and collaborate closely with stakeholders to establish trust in data assets and transition towards self-service data by 2026.

Data is central to SCOR's strategic plan Forward 2026, and the data governance function plays a crucial role in aligning initiatives with the overall data strategy, which is continuously adapted to meet strategic goals.

Responsibilities
  • Ownership of the data governance framework: Maintain and develop the framework to serve business purposes, ensuring stakeholder adoption.
  • Promotion of data quality: Lead operational efforts, develop tooling, and manage quality metrics and remediation mechanisms.
  • Guarantee data usability: Identify critical data assets, promote documentation, and ensure data protection policies are operationalized.
  • Preparation for self-service deployment: Define requirements, collaborate on deployment, and scale self-service capabilities.
  • Master data management: Lead MDM initiatives and set up frameworks across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Excellent knowledge of data governance, data quality, and MDM practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of business processes across multiple activities.
  • Good technical knowledge of data infrastructure and modeling.
  • Experience in data governance or data management roles; experience with Palantir Foundry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or a related data field.
