Within the European Procurement Organization, in a multicultural environment, the Buyer will manage the procurement of Maintenance Lubricants for our European facilities in Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, and Spain.

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies using strategic levers.
• Identify, manage, and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Plan, negotiate, and develop contracts.
• Deploy contracts and monitor their performance.
• Coordinate with transactional teams for contract deployment.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply to European plants.
• Maintain relationships with plants and suppliers.
• Work with stakeholders to optimize Total Cost of Ownership.
• Implement the European Procurement Organization’s Quality Management System policies.
• Understand the role of lubricants in reducing friction, managing heat, and maintaining equipment performance in manufacturing processes.

The position is based in Luxembourg City at ArcelorMittal’s headquarters.

• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Purchasing.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Buyer in an industrial setting, dealing with raw materials, industrial products, or spare parts.
• Industry-oriented experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with databases and SAP.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
• Reliable, rigorous, results-oriented, and a team player.
• Enjoys working in a multicultural environment.
