Job summary

papernest is forming a Strategic Finance team reporting to the CFO. This hands-on role builds models with a Business Controller, partnering with execs to analyze P&L and cash, and to shape the Operating Plan and funding strategies for growth.

You will own platform P&L end-to-end, forecast financial statements, and drive profitability deep-dives across products and markets, in an international setting with strong governance and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with a strong FP&A foundation and advanced modelling skills.
• Experience in a scale-up or fast-paced international group, ideally in B2C services or subscription models.
• Partners with P&L owners rather than reporting to them, and comfortable challenging a business team.
• Builds complex models from underlying drivers through to financial statements.
• Fluent in English; working proficiency in French is highly appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Analyse group performance (P&L and cash) vs last year and budget; write executive commentary.
• Own the full P&L of the platform business end to end, from accrual reviews to contribution margin.
• Review and approve P&L of energy, insurance and carbon products before consolidation.
• Forecast all three financial statements to support decision-making and funding.
• Co-lead the annual Operating Plan; manage consolidated cash forecast and Board pack.
• Lead equity and debt funding workstreams from plan to due diligence.
• Partner with business teams on profitability deep-dives and partnerships.
