Job summary

Kong is seeking a Sales Engineer to accelerate new business, evangelize our API management platform, and onboard customers. You will work with open source technologies and have strong hands-on knowledge of NGINX, Docker, AWS, Postgres, and Cassandra.

Ideally you will drive PoCs, establish trusted relationships across executives and engineers, and help craft technical documentation for deployments in a fast-paced startup culture in Paris.

Qualifications

• Experience in SAAS, open source, or enterprise software environments.
• Strong listening and communication skills; able to engage execs and engineers.
• Familiarity with cloud trends and open source business models.

Responsibilities

• Support field sales to demonstrate Kong API Management value.
• Gather requirements and manage relationships through the sales lifecycle.
• Assist PoCs and ensure customer satisfaction across accounts.
• Coordinate with support, product, and engineering to meet customer needs.
• Create technical docs for DevOps, implementations and services.
