Kong Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive new business, evangelize our API Management platform, onboard customers, and establish revenue potential with existing clients.

Ideal candidates bring strong open source experience, knowledge of NGINX, Docker, HTTP, AWS, Postgres and Cassandra, and are comfortable leading discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Executives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering or sales engineering management roles.
• Experience with SAAS, Open Source, or Enterprise software.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lead discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Executives.
• Experience with Docker is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Support field sales in communicating value of Kong API Management platform.
• Gather and translate customer requirements and build trusted relationships throughout sales lifecycle.
• Support PoCs during evaluation process.
• Ensure 100% customer satisfaction across accounts.
• Prioritize customer needs and coordinate with support, product, and engineering teams.
• Create technical documentation for DevOps, implementations, and services engagements.
• Perform any additional tasks requested by manager.
