Job summary

Fortinet Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer based in Europe to support the sales organization with technical pre-sales activities.

The role focuses on qualifying leads, addressing customer questions on features, specifications, and integration, and acting as the main technical resource during sales calls. You will work with networking applications, contribute to post-sales training, and bring deep knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, and security technologies.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of technical/pre-sales support or sales engineering experience.
• 5–8 years in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
• Strong understanding of DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, IDS, Antivirus.
• Proficient with RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, Firewalls, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES.
• Experience with encryption and authentication technologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint (Pre-sales).
• Be the main technical resource on sales calls and explain features, specs and integrations.
