Job summary

Fortinet Inc. in France is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the sales team with pre-sales, technical guidance, and customer education. You will be the primary technical resource on sales calls and qualify leads with in-depth knowledge of networking.

You should have 5–8 years of experience in technical/pre-sales, LAN/WAN, DNS/NFS, VPN, and security protocols. Excellent English communication is required to explain complex concepts to customers.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer.
• 5–8 years experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
• Strong understanding of DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Intrusion Detection, and Anti Virus.
• Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES.
• Experience with encryption and authentication technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint (Pre-sales).
• Be the main technical resource on sales calls and educate the customer on features, specifications, functionality and integration.
• Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
• Provide post-sales training to identified customers.
