Bigblue is building the logistics backbone for the next generation of commerce across Europe, operating 9 warehouses and millions of orders monthly. We seek an Ops Excellence Manager to standardize warehouse operations across our European network and drive measurable improvements in cost, quality and productivity.

You will diagnose performance gaps, deploy common SOPs and KPIs, and partner with Product & Tech to translate pain points into actionable requirements.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in warehouse operations, fulfillment, supply chain, industrial operations or operations consulting with hands-on field work.
• Proven track record of turning diagnoses into measurable results.
• Strong analytical skills to quantify euro impact, labor hours, capacity, productivity and quality.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose performance gaps across picking, packing, inbound, outbound, replenishment and returns using data and Gemba.
• Create and deploy SOPs, KPIs and playbooks across European sites.
• Lead cost, quality and productivity projects from root-cause analysis to rollout and impact measurement.
• Optimize flows, layouts, slotting, replenishment and labor planning to reduce waste and improve performance.
• Collaborate with 3PL teams to set expectations, review performance and drive sustainable actions.
• Translate operational pain points into Atlas requirements with Product & Tech for testing and rollout.
• Lead mechanization, automation and digitalization projects to remove manual tasks and unlock capacity.
• Turn local improvements into scalable multi-site solutions for new and existing sites.

The role

As Ops Excellence Manager, you will improve and standardize warehouse operations across Bigblue’s European fulfillment network.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose operational performance gaps using data analysis and Gemba observation across picking, packing, replenishment, inbound, shipping, palletisation and returns.
• Build and deploy common SOPs, KPIs, daily and weekly management routines and operational playbooks across Bigblue’s European warehouse network.
• Lead productivity, quality and cost-improvement projects from root-cause analysis and prioritization through testing, rollout and impact measurement.
• Optimize warehouse flows, layouts, slotting, replenishment strategies, pick paths and labor or capacity planning to reduce waste and improve performance.
• Partner with 3PL teams to set clear expectations, run fact-based performance reviews and root-cause sessions, and secure sustainable action plans with owners and deadlines.
• Work with Product & Tech to translate operational pain points into clear Atlas requirements, support testing and rollout, and improve adoption while reducing overrides and exceptions.
• Lead mechanization, automation and process-digitalization initiatives when they can remove manual tasks, improve quality or unlock capacity.
• Turn local improvements into scalable, multi-site solutions and support the opening, ramp-up and peak readiness of new and existing sites.

Who you are

Must-have

• At least 8 years of experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, supply chain, industrial operations or operations consulting, with significant hands-on exposure to the field.
• Strong continuous-improvement expertise and a track record of turning operational diagnoses into implemented, measurable results.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quantify business impact in euros, labor hours, capacity, productivity and quality.
• Solid project-management experience across multiple sites or complex cross-functional environments.
• Strong warehouse-floor credibility and a genuine Gemba mindset: you are comfortable observing flows, speaking with operators and leads, and testing solutions in real conditions.
• Able to influence without authority and drive change with site teams, 3PL partners and Product & Tech stakeholders.
• Structured, autonomous and action-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and maintain high standards under pressure.
• Willing and able to travel frequently across Bigblue’s European warehouse network.

Nice-to-have

• Experience in e-commerce fulfillment, contract logistics, retail or FMCG supply chain, or a multi-site industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Kaizen or Six Sigma methods; certification is a plus.
• Experience working with 3PL partners and running operational governance or performance reviews.
• Experience with WMS products, warehouse automation or mechanization projects.
• Experience partnering with Product and Tech teams on operational tools, specifications, testing and rollout.
