This internship is for physicists, mathematicians and geophysicists in their last year of school who are looking for a six-month internship to apply theoretical knowledge and problem-solving skills to real Earth data.

The world beneath our feet is complex and the source of natural resources fundamental to modern society. We use signal processing, modelling and imaging techniques and our compute facilities enable high-resolution 3D images and models of subsurface structure and rock properties for our clients.
During your internship you will work inside a processing and imaging team, in close collaboration with our R&D department, to provide the latest technology to our clients. You will have the opportunity to work on one of the following topics:
Full waveform inversion (FWI) is the standard solution to build a velocity model for land or marine data. Elastic modeling is more expensive, and Viriden is working to improve efficiency for production, including large surveys. This will enable inversion of Vp, Vs and density for reservoir properties. During this internship you will:
