Job summary

Greenstep, a Finland-based growth company, seeks a Lead Fabric / Data Platform Consultant to join our Data & Technology team. You own the architecture, build the hard parts, and guide client engagements with our data engineers and BI developers.

You will design on Microsoft Fabric and Azure with Databricks, dbt and Snowflake, crafting production-ready solutions. This role is hybrid and client-facing, emphasizing governance, performance and scalable data platforms.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands‑on experience delivering data platforms and analytics in a consulting or client setting.
• Demonstrable Fabric experience across core workloads and architectural design.
• Solid experience with Azure data ecosystem: ADF, Synapse, Azure SQL, storage.
• Experience with Databricks, dbt and Snowflake; fluent in at least two.
• Strong Power BI skills: modelling, DAX, Power Query.
• Strong Python / PySpark and SQL.
• Deep data modelling knowledge and modern ELT patterns.
• Source control-based development and CI/CD for data workloads.
• Fluent Finnish and working proficiency in English; client work often in Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture of client data platforms: ingestion, transformation, storage, modelling, serving and operating model.
• Design and build on Microsoft Fabric across OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines and Synapse Data Engineering.
• Build and lead work on Databricks, dbt and Snowflake where applicable.
• Develop layered lakehouse and warehouse architectures with attention to partitioning, performance and cost.
• Build performant Power BI semantic models and reusable DAX.
• Set engineering discipline: version control, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and monitoring.
• Incorporate data governance, security and privacy from day one.
• Advise clients directly: challenge requirements, run workshops, present options.
• Strengthen our practice: reference architectures and accelerators, mentoring.
