Job summary

Greenstep is seeking a Lead Fabric / Data Platform Consultant to join our Data & Technology team in Finland. You will own architecture, set engineering standards, and lead client engagements, collaborating with data engineers and BI developers.

Core platforms include Microsoft Fabric and Azure; Databricks, dbt and Snowflake. You’ll advise clients, design scalable lakehouse architectures, and help grow our practice while mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on experience delivering data platforms and analytics in a consulting or client project setting.
• Demonstrable Microsoft Fabric experience across core workloads.
• Solid experience with the broader Azure data ecosystem: Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, storage, networking basics and identity.
• Real working experience with Databricks, dbt and Snowflake; fluency in at least two of the three.
• Strong Power BI skills: semantic modelling, advanced DAX, Power Query (M).
• Strong Python / PySpark and SQL.
• Deep data modelling knowledge and modern ELT patterns.
• Source control-based development and CI/CD for data workloads (Azure DevOps or GitHub).
• Fluent Finnish and working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of client data platforms: ingestion, transformation, storage, modelling, serving and operating model.
• Design and build on Microsoft Fabric across OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines and Synapse Data Engineering.
• Lead work on Databricks, dbt and Snowflake where appropriate, including migrations and hybrid setups.
• Develop layered lakehouse and warehouse architectures with attention to partitioning, performance and cost.
• Build performant Power BI semantic models and reusable DAX as trusted single source of truth.
• Set the engineering discipline: version control, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and monitoring.
