Job summary

Greenstep is seeking a Lead Fabric / Data Platform Consultant to join our Data & Technology team in Finland. You own the architecture, build core platforms, and guide clients through platform choices in production.

You’ll work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, dbt and Snowflake, leading engagements and mentoring junior engineers. This role is client-facing, technical, and based in hybrid Finland with 50% office time.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on experience delivering data platforms and analytics in consulting or client settings.
• Fabric workloads: architectural understanding across core Fabric components.
• Broad Azure data ecosystem experience: Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, storage and networking basics.
• Proficiency with Databricks, dbt and Snowflake; able to judge fit for client scenarios.
• Strong Power BI skills: semantic modelling, advanced DAX, and data delivery to business users.
• Proficient Python / PySpark and SQL for data processing and pipelines.
• Experience with source control-based development and CI/CD for data workloads (Azure DevOps or GitHub).
• Fluent Finnish and working English proficiency; client work often in Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data platform architectures including ingestion, processing, storage and serving.
• Design and implement on Microsoft Fabric and Azure data stack; lead decision-making with clients.
• Lead Databricks, dbt and Snowflake initiatives, including migrations and hybrid setups.
• Develop layered lakehouse/warehouse architectures with attention to performance and cost.
• Build Power BI semantic models and reusable DAX; ensure single source of truth.
• Set engineering discipline: version control, CI/CD, testing, observability, and production hygiene.
• Incorporate data governance, security and privacy from day one in designs.
• Advise clients, run workshops, present options and support sales scoping.
