Job summary

Greenstep in Finland is seeking a Lead Fabric / Data Platform Consultant to join the Data & Technology team. You own architecture, lead technical delivery, and collaborate with data engineers and BI developers across Fabric, Azure, Databricks, dbt and Snowflake.

The role is hybrid with ~50% office time and strong client-facing responsibility; you mentor colleagues and help set engineering standards for scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on experience delivering data platforms and analytics in client settings.
• Fabric experience across core workloads and architectural design insight.
• Solid Azure data ecosystem knowledge (Data Factory, Synapse, SQL, storage).
• Hands-on with Databricks, dbt and Snowflake; fluent in at least two.
• Strong Power BI skills: tabular modelling, DAX, Power Query, deployment management.
• Strong Python / PySpark and SQL capabilities.
• Deep data modelling knowledge and modern ELT perspective.
• Source control-based development and CI/CD for data workloads.
• Fluent Finnish and working proficiency in English; client work often in Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture of client data platforms including ingestion, storage, modelling and serving.
• Design and build on Fabric across OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines; use Synapse.
• Lead Databricks, dbt and Snowflake work where appropriate and manage migrations/hybrids.
• Develop layered lakehouse/warehouse architectures with attention to partitioning, performance and cost.
• Build performant Power BI semantic models and reusable DAX; provide a single source of truth.
• Set engineering discipline: VCS, CI/CD, tests, observability and production readiness.
• Embed data governance, security and privacy into design from day one.
• Advise clients directly; run workshops and support sales in scoping/solutioning.
• Strengthen practice with reference architectures and reusable accelerators; mentor colleagues.
