Job summary

Greenstep is seeking a Lead Fabric / Data Platform Consultant in Finland to own architecture and drive data platform engagements. You will set engineering standards, mentor teams, and collaborate with data engineers and BI developers to deliver scalable solutions.

Role spans client-facing leadership across Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, dbt and Snowflake, with a hybrid work mode and strong emphasis on governance and security from day one.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on experience delivering data platforms and analytics in consulting or client projects.
• Demonstrated Microsoft Fabric expertise across core workloads and architectural design responsibilities.
• Solid experience with Azure data ecosystem: Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, storage and networking basics.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, dbt and Snowflake with judgement on platform fit.
• Strong Power BI skills: semantic modelling, DAX, Power Query, deployment management.
• Proficiency in Python/PySpark and SQL.
• Deep data modelling knowledge and modern ELT patterns.
• Experience with source control and CI/CD for data workloads (Azure DevOps or GitHub).
• Fluent Finnish and working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture of client data platforms including ingestion, transformation, storage, modelling and operating model.
• Design and build on Microsoft Fabric across OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines and Synapse Data Engineering, plus wider Azure stack.
• Lead work on Databricks, dbt and Snowflake, including migrations and hybrid setups where appropriate.
• Develop layered lakehouse and warehouse architectures with attention to partitioning, performance and cost.
• Build performant Power BI semantic models and reusable DAX.
• Set engineering discipline: version control, CI/CD, testing, observability and production maintainability.
• Incorporate data governance, security and privacy from day one (access, lineage, GDPR).
• Advise clients directly, run workshops, compare options and support sales scoping.
