We are working for a leading chemical global producer and distributor, looking for a VAT Specialist. The selected candidate will be based in Barcelona reporting to the Head of Tax, based in Switzerland.

Main Responsabilities:

• As a member of the Group VAT competence team, provide advice on Indirect Taxes to business on supply chain questions, specific transactions and on standard business models
• Timely and formally correct filing of Swiss and foreign VAT , EC Sales Lists and Intrastat declarations
• Maintain and set the tax determination in the SAP ERP system.
• Review and support international trade and business set-ups e. g. VAT registration abroad, EU VAT (consignment warehouses, chain transactions, triangular transactions, intra-Community deliveries/purchases, input tax refund procedures, etc.)
• Assist in the implementation of Tax Digitalization projects (SAF-T, e-invoicing, e-archiving)
• Support and advise stakeholders in the area of VAT primarily related to Switzerland and the EU on day-to-day VAT questions and issues.

Profile Requirements:

• Few years (3-4 years) of experience in Indirect Tax
• Good Spanish and EU VAT know-how both theoretical and practical
• Sound finance and accounting know-how
• SAP knowledge is required as well as good Excel skills
• Hands-on attitude, result-driven, ability to work on complex business cases and willing to learn about VAT and SAP
• Team player also capable of working autonomously.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good command of written and spoken English.
