Job summary

GE Vernova’s Wind Remote Operations Center in Barcelona is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to supervise the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote hub. You will analyze alarms, guide commissioning and service activities, and coordinate with site teams to resolve issues and optimize performance.

The role requires hands-on wind energy experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm under pressure, and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
