Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations Center to oversee offshore wind asset monitoring and remote diagnostics from Barcelona. You’ll work with site teams and engineers to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring safe, reliable turbine performance.

You will coordinate with commissioning and service teams, drive data-driven improvements, and communicate findings clearly. Travel up to 20% may be required; relocation to Barcelona is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English, open to relocation to Barcelona; EU eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Rotate weekday shifts with occasional on-call weekends/public holidays.
