Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona to oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote hub. You will work across commissioning and service phases, guiding diagnostics, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement with site teams and engineering experts.

You will analyze operational data, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure timely responses to alarms while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; calm under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English in spoken and written form.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support.
