Are you ready to take ownership of Axpos Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) platform Join us as a Senior System Engineer VDI and play a pivotal role in ensuring high-performance reliable and secure operations. Shape the future of ICT at Axpo EMEA SL with your expertise and innovative mindset.

What you will do

• Guarantee reliable and high-performance operations of the VDI Server environment.
• Develop strategies to balance optimal performance and meet new business demands.
• Monitor performance and service health taking preventive measures to address bottlenecks.
• Plan and execute changes in compliance with IT processes and implementation guidelines coordinating with business helpdesk and suppliers.
• Migrate implement configure and test VDI Server infrastructure components to ensure compliance with enterprise security policies.
• Create technical documentation including installation instructions and architectural diagrams.
• Support and collaborate on projects requiring VDI technologies.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including ICT Architects Server Engineers Network and Security Teams and external partners.
• Act as the primary contact for Junior VDI Engineers and Helpdesk for troubleshooting and support.
• Manage software deployment tools in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Be prepared for occasional weekend work after-hours tasks and on-call duty.

What you bring & who you are

• Solid foundation in computer science with expertise in VDI platforms. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Azure Cloud training are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in agile teams and enterprise hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong technical knowledge in operating maintaining and developing Windows-based systems.
• Hands‑on experience with VDI platform environments Active Directory (GPOs users etc.) ITSM tools (Jira Service Management / ServiceNow) and software deployment tools like Microsoft Intune.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to quickly grasp complex interrelationships and anticipate effects on ICT operations.
• High customer orientation quality awareness and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent in English; Spanish and German are a plus.
