Job summary

Medtronic seeks a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 platform across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will resolve complex issues, coordinate with field engineers, and ensure documentation is complete, with on-call rotation and occasional domestic/international onsite work.

The role requires engineering or medical background with robotics experience, strong communication in Portuguese, English and Italian, and a focus on

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience; or advanced degree with 2+ years.
Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
Experience diagnosing technical issues and pursuing continuous improvement.
Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for Hugo system and DS1 to HCP/SUS/FSE; act as technical liaison between stakeholders and operating unit.
Drive escalation to resolve issues; initiate field service support when needed.
Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
Own documentation and continuously improve processes.
Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
Maintain regular hours (8:00–16:30 CET); on-call 7:00–19:00 rotated.
