Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will explain complex technical issues to healthcare professionals, startups and field engineers, while coordinating remote and occasional onsite activities.

Ideally you bring engineering in biomedical/electrical/mechanical disciplines, robotics experience, and fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years; medical degree with technical skills is also acceptable.
Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE and act as technical liaison between stakeholders and operating unit.
Drive escalation to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
Perform technical activities requiring judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
Ensure all documentation/server entries are complete promptly.
Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
