Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist with a focus on Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The role emphasizes medical device technical expertise, clear communication with HCPs, SUSs, and FSEs, and a strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues remotely.

The position requires a biomedical/engineering background, fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian, and willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years
Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) required
Experience with robotics or motion control within a large capital equipment environment
Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize
Experience analyzing technical issues for continuous improvement; experience with software troubleshooting

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE
Drive escalation to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed
Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests
Own documentation and continuous improvement projects
Occasional onsite support/trainings domestically and internationally
Regular working hours 8:00-16:30 CET; on-call 7AM-7PM (rotation)
