Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for surgical robotics. You will support Hugo and DS1 systems, explaining complex tech to healthcare professionals, SUS and FSEs, and coordinate remote and occasional on-site assistance across EMEA.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree or medical degree with technical skills, with strong problem solving, communication and documentation abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering, or medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
• Experience analyzing technical issues for continuous improvement and software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Drive escalation to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex requests.
• Perform technical activities with significant judgment and own improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are completed promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Regular hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 with rotating colleagues.
