Job summary

Medtronic in Europe seeks a remote Technical Service Specialist to support the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system and the DS1 AI-powered platform. This full-time role requires strong clinical and technical communication with healthcare professionals, SUS and FSEs, and offers domestic and international on-site support as needed.

You will troubleshoot issues, drive escalation, and own continuous improvement projects while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering, with relevant experience or advanced degree with experience; or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian is required (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment.
• Highly organized with ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments.
• Experience with analysing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE, acting as a technical liaison.
• Drive escalation to resolve customer issues, initiating field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform activities requiring judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Regular hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7 AM–7 PM with rotating coverage.
