Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 platform. You will support Health Care Professionals, start-up specialists, and field service engineers across EMEA, handling inquiries, troubleshooting, and escalation with a focus on remote resolution and occasional international travel.

The role requires advanced engineering education and multilingual capabilities (Portuguese, English, Italian), with a strong emphasis on analytical thinking,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• English, Portuguese and Italian language proficiency (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Strong organizational, multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS, and FSE.
• Drive escalation and coordinate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation and system entries are completed promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Adhere to 8:00–16:30 CET working hours; on-call 7:00–19:00 with rotations.
