Job summary

Medtronic seeks a Remote Technical Services Specialist to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 across EMEA. You will explain complex technical issues to Health Care Professionals, Start-up specialists, and Field Service Engineers while collaborating with a global network.

The role requires an engineering degree with several years of robotics experience, strong problem-solving skills, and fluency in Portuguese, English, and Italian.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in (biomedical/electrical/mechanical) engineering with 4+ years of experience or advanced degree with 2+ years, or medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
• Experience with analyzing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as technical liaison with stakeholders and operating unit.
• Drive escalation to resolve issues; initiate field service as needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Engage in activities requiring judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure documentation and system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Maintain regular hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 with rotating coverage.
