Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery portfolio across EMEA. The role requires strong communication skills to explain complex technical issues to healthcare professionals, start-up specialists, and field engineers in multiple languages, with a focus on remote support.

You will work on the Hugo system and DS1 platform, solve escalated issues, and participate in continuous improvement projects while occasionally traveling for onsite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/ electrical/ mechanical engineering (or medical degree with technical skills).
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment.
• Highly organized, able to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
• Experience with analysing technical issues for continuous improvement and software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Act as a technical liaison between stakeholders and the operating unit.
• Drive escalation to resolve issues and initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities with judgement and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation is completed promptly.
• Focus on remote support, with occasional onsite support and training.
• Work hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7AM–7PM with rotating shifts.
