Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 in the EMEA region. You will explain complex technical issues to healthcare professionals, startups, and field engineers, with a focus on remote diagnosis and occasional onsite visits.

The role requires engineering credentials and multi-language fluency (Portuguese, English, Italian), strong analytical skills, and experience in operating room environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering or medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Drive escalation process to resolve customer issues; initiate field service as needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training (domestic and international).
• Adhere to regular hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7AM–7PM with rotating schedules.
