Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 platform. The role focuses on providing expert remote support to healthcare professionals, SUS, and field engineers across EMEA, with occasional on-site work and a rotate-on-call schedule.

The candidate will leverage robotics and software troubleshooting experience, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement while supporting multiple international sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in (biomedical/electrical/mechanical) engineering with relevant experience or an advanced degree with experience.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment.
• Highly organized, flexible, multi-tasking, able to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Experience in analysing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as technical liaison between stakeholders and operating unit.
• Drive escalation to resolve customer issues; initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Maintain working hours 8:00-16:30 CET; on-call 7AM-7PM rotation.
