Job summary

Medtronic seeks a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support Hugo and DS1 systems across EMEA. You will explain complex technical issues to healthcare professionals, coordinate remote and on-site support, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree with robotics experience, strong languages in Portuguese, English and Italian, and the ability to work flexibly across international teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in biomedical, electrical or mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years; medical degree with technical skills considered.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment.
• Highly organized, flexible, with ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Experience with analyzing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Escalate issues and coordinate field service as needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Own documentation and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Work hours 8:00–16:30 CET, on-call 7:00–19:00 rotating.
