Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system and the DS1 AI-powered analytics platform to support HCPs, SUS and FSEs across EMEA. This is a full-time remote role requiring excellent communication and the ability to explain complex technical issues.

The position offers mostly remote work with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally, standard hours 8:00–16:30 CET, and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (biomedical/electrical/mechanical) with relevant experience OR advanced degree with min 2 years relevant experience OR medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE as a technical liaison between stakeholders and the operating unit.
• Drive the escalation process to resolve customer issues, including initiating required field service support.
• Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and ownership of continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are complete and promptly updated.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training availability (domestically and internationally).
• Regular working hours 8:00 - 16:30 CET; On-call 7AM-7PM with rotating schedules.
