Job summary

Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 platform across EMEA. The role emphasizes remote technical support, clear communication with HCPs and engineers, and occasional on-site training in multiple countries.

The ideal candidate has robotics/motion control experience, fluency in Portuguese, English, and Italian, and a strong ability to solve complex technical issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience (or advanced degree with 2+ years) or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized, able to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
• Experience analyzing technical issues for continuous improvement and software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as a liaison between stakeholders and the operating unit.
• Escalate issues and initiate field service support when needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training (domestic and international).
• Work hours: 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00, rotating among colleagues.
