Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a full-time remote Technical Service Specialist to support the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system and the DS1 AI-powered platform. You will explain complex technical issues to healthcare professionals, Start-up-specialists, and Field Service Engineers, with occasional on-site visits across Europe.

This role requires engineering credentials (biomedical/electrical/mechanical), 4+ years in robotics or motion control, fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in (biomedical/electrical/mechanical) engineering with relevant experience or advanced degree with 2+ years relevant experience, or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control within a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized with ability to be flexible, multi-task and prioritize assignments.
• Experience with analysing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; serve as technical liaison between stakeholders and operating unit.
• Drive escalation processes to resolve customer issues, initiating field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment; own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training (domestically and internationally).
• Work hours 8:00-16:30 CET; on-call 7AM-7PM (rotates among colleagues).
