Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system and DS1 AI-powered video management platform. You will support Health Care Professionals, Start-up specialists, and Field Service Engineers, with occasional onsite availability across Europe and beyond.

The role requires a biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering background, fluent Portuguese/English/Italian, and experience in robotics or motion control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with relevant experience.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian is preferred (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with good documentation habits.
• Experience with software troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and the DS1 platform to healthcare professionals and field staff.
• Lead escalation processes and coordinate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with peers to troubleshoot and resolve complex service requests.
• Conduct activities requiring judgement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely and complete documentation and system entries.
• Support remote work with occasional onsite visits domestically and internationally.
• Maintain standard working hours 8:00–16:30 CET; participate in on-call rotation.
