Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Service Specialist to support Hugo robotic-assisted surgery and DS1 in an international remit. The role requires strong medical-technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to health care professionals, start-up specialists, and field service engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering (or medical degree with technical skills)
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2)
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Experience with analysing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement
• Experience with software troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Robotic Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE
• Drive escalation to resolve customer issues and initiate field service support
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and ownership of improvements
• Ensure documentation and system entries are completed promptly
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally
• Maintain standard working hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 rotation
