Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a remote Technical Service Specialist to support the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system and DS1 across the EMEA region. The role emphasizes clear communication with HCPs, SUS, and FSEs, along with strong problem-solving in a high-stakes operating room environment.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree (or medical degree with tech skills) and fluency in Portuguese, English, and Italian. Travel may be required for on-site training worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering, or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritization abilities.
• Experience with analyzing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Robotic Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Drive the escalation process to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and ownership of continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are fully complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Regular hours 8:00-16:30 CET; on-call 7AM-7PM with rotation.
