Job summary

Medtronic seeks a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to deliver remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1. You will coordinate with healthcare professionals, start-up specialists, and field service engineers to resolve issues and drive improvements.

The role requires a biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering background and fluency in Portuguese, English, and Italian, with experience in operating rooms and robotics. International travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in biomedical, electrical or mechanical engineering with relevant experience.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE and act as a liaison between stakeholders and the operating unit.
• Drive escalation to resolve customer issues and initiate field service support when needed.
• Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are fully complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Adhere to regular hours 8:00-16:30 CET; on-call 7AM-7PM with rotating schedules.
