Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics. You will support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 AI-powered analytics remotely for HCPs, SUS, and FSEs across EMEA, with occasional domestic and international on-site work.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree with robotics experience, fluent Portuguese/English/Italian, and strong problem-solving skills in a OR setting. Regular 8:00–16:30 CET, with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience (or advanced degree with 2+ years)
Fluent in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2)
Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment environments
Highly organized, flexible, multi-tasking and able to prioritize
Experience analyzing technical issues for continuous improvement and software troubleshooting

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE
Drive escalation and initiate field service when needed
Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests
Perform technical activities requiring judgment and lead continuous improvement projects
Ensure timely, complete documentation and system entries
Focus on remote support with occasional on-site training domestically and internationally
On-call 7:00–19:00 CET; hours rotate among colleagues
