Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a remote Technical Service Specialist for our Surgical Robotics portfolio in the EMEA region. You will be responsible for providing expert remote support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1, communicating complex technical issues to health care professionals, SUS and FSEs.

The role requires a biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering background, 4+ years of experience with robotics, and fluency in Portuguese, English, and Italian.

Qualifications

• Degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years with advanced degree; medical degree acceptable with tech skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as a liaison.
• Drive escalation to resolve customer issues; initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment; own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
