Job summary

Medtronic seeks a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support Hugo robotic-assisted surgery systems and DS1 analytics across EMEA. You will act as a technical liaison to clinicians, SUS and FSEs, delivering remote guidance, troubleshooting, and escalation where necessary.

The role requires strong communications, robotics experience, and the ability to work across time zones. A remote, international position with potential onsite training is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering, with 4+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 2+ years, or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian is required (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control within a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized with the ability to be flexible, multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments.
• Experience with analysing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robot system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Drive escalation to resolve issues, initiating field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation and system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite Training domestic and international.
• Work hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 rotating.
