Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a remote Technical Service Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1. You will serve as the technical liaison to healthcare professionals, start-up specialists and field engineers across EMEA, delivering remote solutions and coordinating escalations.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, operating room experience, and multilingual communication, with occasional on-site visits across international locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years; or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment env.
• Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize.
• Experience with software troubleshooting and issue analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Drive escalation processes and initiate field service support when needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex requests.
• Own continuous improvement projects and ensure documentation is complete.
• Occasional on-site support domestically and internationally.
