Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Service Specialist to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 in our surgical robotics portfolio across EMEA. The role requires strong technical acumen, excellent communication, and the ability to explain complex issues to healthcare professionals and field engineers.

The position offers flexible remote work across multiple countries and involves on-call shifts. You will collaborate with global teams, drive issue escalation, and ensure proper documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Biomedical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years, or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized with ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as a technical liaison.
• Drive escalation and arrange field service support when needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and contribute to continuous improvements.
• Ensure all documentation is complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite work domestically and internationally.
• Adhere to regular hours 8:00-16:30 CET; participate in on-call 7AM-7PM with rotational coverage.
