Job summary

Medtronic in Madrid is seeking a remote Technical Service Specialist to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 platform across the EMEA region. You will explain advanced technical issues to Health Care Professionals, Start-up specialists, and Field Service Engineers, serving as the technical liaison between stakeholders and the operating unit.

This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with on-call duties and occasional international onsite work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering, or medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized with ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Drive escalations to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation and system entries are completed promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training/domestic and international travel.
• Regular hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 rotates.
