Ethos is seeking a Financial Controller for a fully remote leadership role based in Spain. You will oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance with Spanish GAAP and IFRS, and drive process improvements to support growth.

The role requires 7+ years in accounting/finance, strong ERP and Excel skills, and the ability to lead distributed teams. Fluency in Spanish and English is essential. Competitive salary and bonuses offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in accounting or finance, with controller/senior role.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong Excel and ERP systems proficiency.
• Leadership and communication skills; remote team management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations: AP, AR, GL, payroll.
• Ensure monthly/quarterly/annual statements per Spanish GAAP/IFRS.
• Develop accounting policies to strengthen controls and efficiency.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Mentor accounting team and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure tax compliance and financial reporting requirements.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.
