Placements24 is seeking a reliable Helpdesk Support Technician to join our IT team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will provide first-line technical support to staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues and ensuring smooth operation of computers, printers, and networks.

The role requires strong problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Helpdesk Technician or IT support specialist.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and scanners.
• Manage user accounts and access rights.
• Respond to service desk tickets promptly.
• Assist with deployment of new hardware and software.
• Create and maintain IT documentation and user guides.
• Perform regular system maintenance and updates.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior staff or vendors.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies.
