A leading materials company in Comunidad de Madrid is seeking to hire a professional for the Mission position to contribute to the development of high-quality performance materials for their footwear, apparel, and accessories line. Responsibilities include collaborating with design teams, managing materials budgets, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Ideal candidates should have relevant studies in materials engineering and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. This position requires excellent communication skills and is pivotal in fostering innovation across departments.

Formación

Position Mission

To contribute to the development of high quality performance materials ensuring the success of our products in footwear, apparel, and accessories for the NNormal brand.

Description of Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team and key suppliers to build the seasonal and long‑term material library.
• Introduce innovative and sustainable solutions to enable designers and developers to produce excellent quality products.
• Source all essential seasonal materials and components such as textile, trims, and synthetics.
• Test all materials to the SATRA and the company Restricted Substances List standards to ensure quality compliance.
• Build and maintain strong long‑term relationships with suppliers.
• Collaborate in the management of the seasonal materials budget.
• Manage the Materials Library - Physical and Virtual, managing new and ongoing items each season.
• Manage the materials data warehouse in Centric PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
• Follow all innovations and trends in textiles, trims and any other materials.
• Ensure effective collaboration within the NNormal team and with other cross‑functional departments, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

Skills to perform the position

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English; Spanish or Chinese is a plus.
• Creative problem‑solving skills combined with technical knowledge.
• Ability to manage own workload and multi‑task.
• High attention to detail.

Main stakeholders and reporting

• Design, Development, Product Marketing, Asia Sourcing, and Supply Chain operations
• Direct report to the Head of Materials of Camper Group.

Requirements to fill the position

• Studies in materials engineering, science, design or related fields.
• Experience in a similar position for at least 2-3 years in FTW, APP, or ACC.
• Solid knowledge of MS Office software and Centric Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
