NH Hotels & Resorts in Gijón, Spain, seeks a Receptionist to deliver an outstanding guest experience from arrival to departure. You will manage check-in/out, assist guests with requests, and promote hotel services and local attractions within the brand standards.

The role requires Front Office experience, a Hotel Management qualification, fluent Spanish and strong English, plus adeptness with hotel software. Join a dynamic hotel team focused on service quality and guest satisfaction.

Formación

• Experience in the Front Office department in a hotel of similar size and complexity.
• Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
• Fluency in local language and high level of English.
• Working knowledge of computer software programs (Microsoft Office, TMS) and Front Office systems.
• Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations.
• Sales oriented and customer service focused.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Welcome and complete check-in for all guests and groups in a timely, professional manner.
• Manage room allocation considering guest characteristics (VIPs, new customers, etc.).
• Inform hotel management and other departments about guest requests, inquiries, complaints, or suggestions.
• Display knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and promotions.
• Communicate available hotel services (dry cleaning, restaurant reservations) and safety information.
• Maximize occupancy at best rates and close sales when needed.
• Use up-selling techniques (DISCOVERY loyalty, other destinations, F&B, transport).
• Handle incoming guest room reservations.
• Provide information about the property and local area to guests.
• Arrange or identify providers for special requests (transport, reservations, etc.).
• Follow company brand standards and assist other departments as needed.
• Inform guests of night services (wake-up calls).
• Manage invoicing and cash operations during night shifts.
• Run rounds to check for irregularities and security.
• Prepare night audit reports.
