Job summary

Chubb European Group Ltd. in Madrid, Spain, is seeking an Underwriting Operations Technician – Offline (German Speaking) to support end-to-end offline underwriting processes.

The role focuses on accurate data handling, documentation, and service quality across underwriting support activities. You will enter data, prepare policy files, manage broker queries, and assist with QA, reporting, and tool testing while collaborating with local teams.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and communication skills are required.
• Fluent in English and German; additional European languages valued.
• Some insurance experience and a desire to grow in the industry.
• Excellent attention to detail and a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support offline underwriting operations and language-dependent activities.
• Enter data accurately into underwriting and other systems within SLA.
• Prepare policy documentation and underwriting files to quality standards.
• Handle broker and internal queries including credit control support.
• Support QA, reporting, and process improvements.
• Assist with system testing and new tools.
• Collaborate with local teams, brokers, and the operations team to deliver service.
