Job summary

Chubb European Group Ltd. in Madrid, Spain seeks an Underwriter Operations Technician – Offline, German Speaking, on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will support end-to-end offline underwriting processes, ensure accurate data handling, and deliver high-quality service across underwriting support activities. Responsibilities include data entry into underwriting systems, preparing policy documents, handling broker inquiries, and assisting with QA, reporting, and tool testing.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and German; additional European languages welcome.
• Some insurance experience and willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support offline underwriting operations and language-dependent branch activities.
• Enter data into underwriting and other systems accurately and within SLA.
• Prepare policy documentation and underwriting files meeting quality standards.
• Manage broker and internal queries, including credit control support.
• Support QA, reporting, and process improvements.
• Assist with system testing, UAT, and new business tools.
• Collaborate with local teams, brokers, and operations for service excellence.
