Cross Border Talents in Barcelona seeks a German-Speaking Customer Engineer to combine technical expertise with consultative sales, helping partners and sales teams evaluate cloud solutions and design scalable architectures. The role requires 5+ years in technical sales engineering, German fluency, and deep knowledge of Big Data, PaaS/IaaS, Linux, REST/SOAP, and modern web tech.

Full-time, on-site in Barcelona with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years in technical sales engineering in cloud computing or similar.
• Experience with Big Data, PaaS and IaaS and hands-on database work.
• Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala or BigQuery.
• Knowledge of Linux, web protocols (HTTP, XML, HTML).
• Proven ability to explain complex architectures and present to customers.

Responsibilities

• Define technical requirements with partners and sales teams.
• Recommend scalable architectures aligned with customer needs.
• Build prototypes, demos and integration examples.
• Serve as the principal technical resource through the sales cycle.
• Advise on integration strategy and enterprise architecture.
• Deliver briefings and product presentations.
• Maintain Salesforce opportunity records and document deliverables.
• Complete product training and certifications on schedule.
